Andrea Valentine-Lewis (she/her) is a curator and writer focused on contemporary art, based on the traditional and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples, also known as Vancouver, Canada.

She was raised on the land of the W̱SÁNEĆ People—the Salt Water People—in what is also known as Brentwood Bay (Tsartlip), a coastal and rural region of Vancouver Island abundant with arbutus trees, ravens, and blackberry bushes.

For the past 3.5 years, she has served as Curatorial Assistant at the Vancouver Art Gallery, where she has worked on ten exhibitions and contributed writing to four publications.

As an independent curator, her recent work focuses on generational mentorship and legacy within the arts. Her upcoming exhibition, One Hundred Artists Deep, developed through her Curatorial Fellowship at the Gordon and Marion Smith Foundation for Young Artists, opens at the Gordon Smith Gallery from April 11 to June 20, 2026. The opening reception will take place April 11 from 6–8pm.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her partner Dylan, reading, dancing, exercising, spending time with friends and family, and watching trash television.
